Women in Business

a

Founded in 2022 by Linsey Rodas-Hernandez ’24 and Jenny Rodriguez ’24, Women in Business strives to provide educational and professional development opportunities that support and encourage members’ academic pursuits.

About Women in Business

Through a variety of events such as guest speakers, networking hours, professional competitions, and headshot days, Women in Business promotes and fosters professional development within the organization.

In previous years, the organization has welcomed accomplished women leaders from diverse industries to share their experiences and career advice, hosted networking hours connecting students with local professionals, and organized engaging competitions such as the Perfect Pitch Competition to strengthen students’ communication and presentation skills. Women in Business has also provided valuable resources for building a professional presence, including its annual headshot day, which offers members access to high-quality photos for LinkedIn and other professional platforms.

On average, the organization hosts one to two events per month, each designed to highlight a different topic or skill—from leadership and entrepreneurship to personal branding and workplace readiness. Every event provides members with opportunities to gain insight, develop professionally, and build lasting connections with peers and mentors.
