BMS Program Health Requirements

Applicants accepted for admissions are required to obtain and provide the required documentation prior to matriculation.

Documentation

  • Students must maintain these health requirements throughout their enrollment. Failure to perform required health and immunization activities may prevent students from completing the curriculum.
  • Documentation from a medical provider regarding immunizations.
  • All students are required to maintain active health insurance throughout their enrollment.

Required Immunizations and Forms

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
    • Two doses of the MMR vaccine, dated anytime, or MMR IgG Titers
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular, Pertussis (Tdap) immunization (Every 10 years)
  • Meningitis: Meningococcal vaccine(s)
    • If you received your vaccine before you turned 16, you must provide proof of receiving the Meningococcal booster
  • Varicella
    • One dose of the Varicella vaccine, dated anytime, or a Varicella Titer (IgG)
  • Hepatitis B
    • Three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine or a quantitative Hepatitis B Surface Antibody Titer (AB)
  • Polio vaccine series (If you have not completed the vaccination series, 4 doses, you must receive a polio titer)
    • You must submit proof of completing the vaccination series of three doses, or you must receive a positive polio titer
    • Please note: if your third polio vaccination was given before your fourth birthday, you must submit a fourth polio dose
  • Tuberculosis screening required for all international students within four weeks of arrival to the United States and for students with TB symptoms or risks.
  • Emergency contact form (due annually)
  • COVID-19 vaccinations are recommended, but not required

Incomplete records and forms will prevent matriculation and may prevent academic advancement if not kept current. MU-WCOM does not waive these requirements for religious reasons or personal preferences.
