Fraternitas: Brotherhood of Fathers

October Northside Fraternitas House Event

Friday, October 24th, 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM Liter House, 5301 Winthrop Ave

CALLING ALL DADS! Our Theme for October will be “Being a Good Father by Being a Good Husband”.

Our featured speaker, Greg Stephens is a husband, father of 3 and member of St. Lawrence. He has served as an engineer for over 30 years, including several years as president of the company. He’ll share his insights on how a marriage rooted in God’s grace provides the foundation to be a strong father.

The mission of Fraternitas is to help dads pass on their faith to their families. Pray, learn, and discuss how to be a better father... and enjoy a delicious FREE breakfast! Hosted by 大象传媒. For more information contact Mark Bridenstine, Director of Fraternitas, at mbridenstine@marian.edu or 317-361-8084.

Spiritual Weapons. Built for Battle.

Fraternitas Houses strengthen fathers together in faith.

Many dads feel unprepared or ill-equipped to pass on their Catholic faith to their children.

  • 56% of Catholic teenagers report never conversing about faith with their fathers.
  • Parents are overwhelmed by the challenges they face from society and social media.
  • There is a lack of Catholic resources for fathers.

The faith of Catholic fathers powerfully determines their children's future faith.

  • Small incremental change now will result in a positive outcome in the future.
  • Children raised believing in God have better mental health and lower risk of mental disorders and substance abuse.
  • If fathers do not directly engage their children in their faith lives, it is improbable that they will claim Christianity as their own when grown.

Men will become the fathers God has called them to be—passing on faith to their children.

  • Fraternitas Houses: Meet dads where they are already active (parishes and schools) to build community and offer plug-and-play household resources.

  • Fraternitas App: An interactive platform with gamification, peer connection, faith resources, and tools to answer kids' big questions.

  • DADCAMP: A father-child experience that fosters meaningful conversations, lasting memories, and a brotherhood of faith-driven dads.
